This includes the life and times of a bipolar MD. The blog was started when I was in medical school- the previous title was Highs and Lows Bipolar in Medical School. I'm changing the focus of the blog but keeping old posts

About Me

Emily Forest
I'm currently a physician who has struggled with bipolar disorder. I started the blog during medical school- initially it was called Highs and Lows Bipolar in Medical School. As I moved on in my career- bipolar disorder became less prominent in my life- no recent hospitalizations, on the same medication regimen... Still there- being managed... but not a focus. Emily Forest is not my real name- as I wish to maintain privacy. I've also changed certain things in my descriptions about my life, my medical school, and hospitals where I've worked. My specialty is also not included. I'm changing the focus of the blog because- during these unprecedented times- I want to keep a record of what happened.
